“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”
- African Proverb

It’s overwhelming, isn’t it?

The massive amount of information. The flood of conflicting advice. Where do you begin? Whose advice do you follow?

What if it doesn’t work? Or it did, but it’s stopped working. Now what?

Also, life happens. It’s hard to stick to the plan, you get off track, and the vicious on and off cycle begins.

If only you can get back on track … and stay on track.

Conventional advice will tell you this

Do more research. Listen to the “experts”.

You’re eating too much: Restrict your carbs, restrict your protein, restrict your fat. You’re not eating enough: Increase your carbs, increase your protein, increase your fat.

Count your macros, track your ketones.

You’re not fasting enough, fast more. You’re fasting too much, fast less.

You have to want it more, you’re not serious enough. You lack motivation, you need more willpower, you need more self-discipline.

Well, that’s just not how we roll

We know it’s hard.

We’ve had our fair share of discouraging slip ups and setbacks.

We know how frustrating it is to go through stalls and plateaus, especially if it seems as though you’re doing everything right.

We’ve been there. We’ve made mistakes along the way, and I believe we can help you avoid the pitfalls.

Still, we continue to learn.

And with those lessons learned, we’ve chosen to do things quite differently, here’s how…

We believe that fat loss comes down to a very few essential behaviors done consistently over time

We don’t follow any gurus, we follow the science. The hormonal theory of fat loss. When it gets confusing, we simply go back to the fundamentals.

We’re convinced that counting macros and tracking ketones are terrible distractions that get in the way of real results.

We don’t rely on willpower, or self-discipline, or motivation to stay the course. Because they’ve failed us.

We rely on adjusting our environment. We rely on developing routines and habits. And we rely on each other. Because they’ve worked for us.

We don’t go fast, we go slow. Because we’re in it for the long haul. We’re not on a diet. We’re on a lifelong journey to a more healthful lifestyle.

We don’t do more, we do less. We choose to act on only the vital few that make all the difference. Then, we do those things better.

We don’t go big, we go small. But we focus. This is our path to big and permanent results. Going all-in is futile.

We don’t strive to be perfect. We strive to be consistent. All-or-nothing backfires.

We continue to make mistakes. And that’s okay, because we’re human. We practice self-compassion, because it’s the fastest way to get back on track.

We’re on a journey, and if you like how we do things, I’d love for you to join us!

Hi, I’m Abigail Roaquin.

I began my journey 6 years ago when I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes with my 2nd pregnancy, I was morbidly obese, and prediabetic.

Fast forward to today. I’ve lost 65 pounds, kept it off, and reversed prediabetes.

Since then, I’ve found many others like me who’ve chosen to do things very differently. They’ve challenged the status quo, carved their own paths, and have succeeded.

If they can do it, and if I can do it, as a working mom with 2 young children … so can you.

What I’ve learned as an RN Health Coach

For 22 years, I’ve been a registered nurse in the United States, health coaching and caring for patients with Type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and obesity.

Can I tell you the most important thing I’ve learned?

The problem is not that we don’t know what to do. We don’t need more information. The problem is ... we can’t stick to it.

Fat loss is not a diet, it’s a behavior change

This is our challenge, and this is your challenge:

How do you make it happen in your real world, despite your own obstacles? Not someone else’s reality.

Does carving out your own unique, doable, and effective path sound good to you?
